My main specialization is the translation from English into Italian in the medicine  / pharmacology field: I started treating these topics more than ten years ago, during my in-house translation / PM job, and afterwards I decided  to follow  an En > It  Medical / Scientific Translation course. However, during my professional activity I have had the opportunity to translate many other interesting topics, some of which became real specializations.

10+ years of experience in the translations field. I put an emphasis on quality, and deadlines are always met. The work is done with MS Word/SDL Trados, and delivered via e-mail.

Medicine/pharmacology

Package leaflets, summaries of product characteristics, labels, protocols; informed consent modules; papers, in particular about diabetes, rare metabolic diseases, autism, cardiology, dentistry, orthopaedics, oncology, ophtalmology, epidemiology, veterinary sciences; clinical records; work medicine.
I also translate medical equipment texts, in particular technical data sheets / brochures  of arthroplasty devices, surgical instruments, implantodontics, laser devices, both medical and aesthetic.
Mainly English > Italian, but also Spanish / French > Italian.

Technical/Quality

A brief, but rewarding in-house experience in a Quality Assurance and Safety Department, managing company documents about Quality and work safety, gave me sound foundations that allow me to translate texts about Quality Assurance, SOP, ISO 9000 regulations, work safety, MSDS documents.
Mainly English > Italian, but also Spanish > Italian.

Fashion, design, wine...

Other fields I like to cover are fashion (press packs for some important fashion designers), interior design and architecture (articles for websites and important magazines, brochures), tourism (magazines' articles), sport (horse-riding, running), brochures, company literature.
Moreover, I translate texts about viticulture and wine-making: I had the opportunity to assist a client by translating from French into Italian  many texts about viticulture, vine characteristics, type and quality of wines, from the creation of their wineyard to the presentation of their prize-winning wines.
